MISSION STATEMENT

Pet Accolades is a 501(c)3 charitable organization specializing in training and providing Service, Therapy, or Companion dogs for people with psychiatric disabilities and brain injury including, but not limited to, Veterans.

We are committed to the following values:

Service: Train and provide Service, Therapy, and Companion dogs for people that can gain mental health benefit.

Education: Provide education to professionals and the public on the benefits of Service, Therapy, and Companion dogs for mental health issues; educate our clients on how to train, understand, and respect their dogs to facilitate a long mutually beneficial relationship.

Counsel: Utilize the client’s mental health team to develop individualized benefits for a customized Service or Companion dog, and work with the client to understand their individual needs.

Innovation: Promote continuous research to evaluate and improve upon tangible benefits, feasibility, and advisability of Service, Therapy, and Companion dogs for our clients.

Resources: Assist clients with finding resources and provisions for the care of their dogs when needed.  Help clients to organize and participate in social events with their dog and provide an avenue for clients to support one another.

This mission and values shall be unrestricted by consideration of disability, nationality, race, creed, gender, age, religion, or sexual orientation.
